Grading
Class attendance (15%)
There will be checks on class attendance. Demerit points are given for
each absence
Class participation (15%)
Active class participation is expected. Merit points are given for active
participants
**Important absence policy: students will fail the course if
his/her is absent for over six class sessions.
Practices and Presentation
(grading 20%)
Each week each group will be assigned a case or product
or service to discuss its tourism concept
Such case or product or service includes restaurants,
cinema, toys, entertainment, hotel, tour agency, car
rental, steak house etc..
The case or product or service will be announced at least
one week ahead.
Grading
Midterm presentation (25%)
3-4 Students are expected to form teams to study the
assigned course materials. Team members are
expected to present the content of their presentation,
market survey for target segment(s), and website in
the class.
Midterm presentation will be graded based on the
quality, feasibility, and depth of the presentation. The
presentation can be a combination of slides, videos,
acting, singing, etc. Questions should be raised,
discussed and answered.
