Plutchik's wheel of

emotions
Anger

Anger is an emotion related to one's psychological
interpretation of having been offended, wronged,
or denied and a tendency to react through
retaliation.

Anger may have physical correlates such as
increased heart rate, blood pressure, and levels of
adrenaline.

The external expression of anger can be found in
facial expressions, body language, physiological
responses, and at times in public acts of
aggression.

In neuroimaging studies of anger, the most
consistently activated region of the brain was the
lateral orbitofrontal cortex. This region is
associated with approach motivation and positive
affective processes.

The anger of Achilles
Outraged at having lost his
beloved, Achilles draws his
sword to kill Agamemnon.
The sudden appearance of
the goddess Minerva, who,
in this fresco, has grabbed
Achilles by the hair, prevents
the act of violence.
Agamemnon stands to the
left and tries to shield
himself with his cloak, while
in the background, in front
of a rounded temple, a
huddled row of Greek
soldiers observes the scene.
Vigilance is a general exploration of
the environment. It involves waiting
and looking for something
undefined.

The specific function of attention is the
guidance, selection and selective
concentration of energy in the process of
knowledge. Attention help adaptation,
adjustment, energy support. Based on this
function, carried out effective adaptation by
signaling events, situations, which is in the
field of consciousness.
One of the vigilances exercises is multitasking.
Its an exercise that involves distributing
attention on at least two actions in the same
time.
In a study published in Newsweek
magazine stated that the wealth of
information and stimuli received by a
person at the same time promotes brain and
thinking . In the experiment quoted in the
magazine , locked in a room with lights and
sounds bombed volunteers teenagers were
able to focus solving simple math problems
and writing short themes , but unlike those
adults who have snapped . And the reason
this is normal for young people, but not for
their parents , say experts concerned is not
only a habit , you brain physiology itself : in
particular the Brodmann area 10 of the
prefrontal cortex , where they are " parked "
and then taken our mental tasks completed.
This region seems to be one of the first affected by
age and give the impression of simultaneity in what
in reality is a rapid sequence of actions in the brain.
Because, after all, human processor (like the
computer ) still can not do two things at once
complex .
