Summary
Alectek shoes is a manufacturer of popular shoes in the India.
This company has a strong workforce of over 11000
employees of manufacturing and marketing operation
through its own retail outlets. This company is very old so that
the its HR policies also empirical and conventional.
Companys HR policies reflect that they cant select those
candidates who change their job very frequently in past.
Company develop a huge manufacturing facility in a
metropolitan city. For this new expansion company do the
extensive advertisement recruitment campaign to attract the
best candidates for filling the available job position. Because
of huge advertisement campaign company get pull of
application for the various position.


But out of these bulk of candidates are those who
change their job in very short time period. But for this
shortcoming, these candidates were found to be
suitable for the offered positions. If these candidates
were eliminated, the company might not required skills
for filling all the existing vacancies and if select these
candidates company face the untimely and
unanticipated employee desertions and he resultant
work disturbances. For that HR manager insisted that
the company design and develop effective career
development programmes for the employees
immediately so that there were better career prospects
available for them in the company itself.
What is your assessment of the whole
situation in Alectek shoes?
Alectek shoes face the problem of empirical
and traditional HR policies that belong that if
in past employee change the job mostly it
means this employee are not stay in company
for longer time. It is not true in all the
situation because the leave the job because of
the career prospective.
What is your opinion about the role of
recruitment policy in the entire controversy
As per our opinion company wants the employees
for the new manufacturing plant. Company gets bulk
of application and out of them some candidates
fulfill the requirement of offered position but they
change job frequently so as per HR police manager
cant select these candidates for offered position. So,
that in whole controversy HR policy play a strong
role.
If you are made the HR manager of Alectek
shoes, what would be your suggestion to
slove the problem?
If I am a HR manager of company that in the time of
selection I ask candidates the reason for leaving
these many job in short time period and that reason
not accour in company and also keep in mind that in
the market competitor are not give the more
incentive, give monetary and non-monetary reward
to employees.
