NGP
The National Greening Program is
the centerpiece Program not only
by the Secretary but by the
President himself when he issued
Executive Order 26 in 2011. The
whole of DENR had gladly put on
their share of accomplishment,
notwithstanding their place or
institution in this country.
Eagerness was shown through the
accomplishments contributed by all
sectors of society, they be in the
academe, the civil society, the
students, even the ordinary person
in the street came in to do their
share.

FOREIGN ASSISTED PROJECTS
Forestland Management Project (FMP) is a 10 year project that was signed
through a Loan Agreement (LA) between Government of the Philippines and
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The project area is within the
Upper Pampanga River Basin with a total area of 44,613.6 has.

The project was launched at the DENR-ENRA Building, Carranglan Nueva
Ecija last November 9, 2012.

Establishment and Management of
Community Based Program
CY 2012 a total of seven (7) Community Based Program (CBP) tenurial
instruments for issuance and assessment of region were targeted. Two
(2) in the province of Aurora, and two (2) in the province of Nueva Ecija
and four (4) in Bataan, and Pampanga.
Biodiversity Conservation Management
Critical Habitat Management
There were 7 wetland areas proposed to be designated
as critical habitats. The areas assessed and mapped
were: Mt. Mingan (in Aurora and Nueva Ecija),
Sasmuan/Macabebe & Candaba in Pampanga, Anzap,
Tambo Lake and Calao in Tarlac.
Cave Management
Assessment and Classification of Caves
For CY 2012, a total of four (4) caves were
classified and assessed.
The three (3) caves assessed at San
Luis Aurora were the Layang-Layang,
Sinag and Tikbalang Caves. Another
cave in Bulacan, the Pinagrealan Cave
was in coordination with the LGU of
Norzagay, Bulacan.
