The flag of China was officially adopted
on October 1, 1949.
The red of the Chinese flag symbolizes
the communist revolution, and it's also
the traditional color of the people.
The large gold star represents
communism,
The four smaller stars represent the
social classes of the people.
In addition, the five stars together reflect
the importance placed on the number
five in Chinese thought and history.

DYNASTY- succession of rulers from the same family historical
eras in China have borne the name of the family or clan that
dominated during the period.

RELIGIONS IN CHINA:
1. Taoism- Sought to promote the inner peace of
individuals and harmony with their surroundings.
2. Confucianism- based on the teachings and writings of the
philosopher Confucius, is an ethical system that sought to
teach the proper way for all the people to behave in society.
3. Buddhism- founded by Siddharta Gautama
- personal salvation
- Life is sorrow and sorrow is caused by desire and
rid self of desires
