Responses recorded for conserving food!
I always try to help
Myself by taking
Optimum amount
Of food on my plate
Which I am quite
Sure about eating
Comfortably
Without wasting a
Grain.
Take what you can
Consume... Second
Helpings is
Welcome, but not
Loading food in the
First serving.
Don't cook
Overloaded...If by
Mistake cooked
Than eat it next
Day...Don't cook
Following
Afternoon...
Ask every one
In the family
How much they
Will eat and
Cooked the
Food
According to
The
Requirement
At home, food left
over is given
another form. Like
left over Sabzi is
used for
sandwiches. left
over Dal is used in
dough, etc. So the
wastage is almost
negligible.
Cook as much as
required
Make less and
throw the waste to
an animal.......a
cow in d morning
and a dog at night.
Responses recorded for conserving fuel!
Use public
transport...and
save fuel by car
pooling...and
parking your vehicle
at metro stations...
and taking metro
for further routes
Prefer commuter
as much as I can,
if not possible use
fuel efficiently by
switching off the
vehicle on traffic
lights
Turn off the engine
in jams, red lights
walking .... use
bicycle..... use rail
instead taxi
use solar
cooker.....
Include raw and
boiled food in diet,
rather than dishes
involving multiple
complex repeated
fuel consuming
cooking
techniques..
More Use of non
conventional
sources of energy
Use vehicles only
when really required
Walk
Responses recorded for other conservation practices
Switch off the
lights and fans
when not needed,
separate organic
and inorganic
waste and reuse or
recycle them
accordingly.
More of software
are used instead of
paper and pen or
ink.
I plant a lot of
trees...
there is a place
where we
demonstrate to
use the scrap...
and reuse recycle
the things
We use waste
water (water after
washing
vegetables) to
water plants.
Though it doesn't
help watering all
the plants, it
doesn't get
wasted.
We separate
waste and the
vegetable peels
and waste tea
leaves are dumped
in a pot full of soil.
In a few days, the
waste
decomposes and
mixes with the soil.
It is then
distributed in all
plant pots.
(Composting)
I try to contribute
by saving
electricity as much
as possible by
switching off lights,
fans, television, etc
when they are
least required. I try
to save water by
not wasting and
making optimum
use of it.
Say no to plastic
bags.....
Thank you!!!
