Tallaght is organised so you can see

Location on campus...
Car Parking
The Institute has parking for approximately 680 cars. This
has proved to be ample capacity for the needs of the
part-time programme over recent years.
Parking is not permitted in areas other than designated
parking spaces to ensure that access is available at all
times for emergency vehicles. Cars parked outside
designated areas and parking in spaces set aside for the
disabled without a permit, are liable to be clamped.
There are a number of public car parks with walking
distance of the Institute.
Evacuation Procedure
Throughout the building, there are floor plans in red
coloured frames headed Emergency Escape Route.
These show the emergency escape routes from all parts
of the building, to the outside.
In the event of an emergency, please go to the assembly
point that you are directed to as you leave the building
(A, B, C or D).
Become familiar with the various emergency exit doors
on the ground floor. There are a total of 28!

Smoking Policy
Obviously, smoking is not permitted in any part of the
building. In addition, smoking is not permitted within
15m of any building on campus.
There are 3 smoking shelters located on campus. One
smoking shelter is located in the bicycle parking area in
front of the Student Union building. Two smoking shelters
are located in the car park outside the rear
entrance/exit.
Smoking within 15m of any Institute building will be a
matter to be dealt with as a minor breach of student
discipline.
Room Numbering
The first digit of the room number denotes the
floor:
0 = ground floor
1 = first floor
2 = second floor
The numbers progressively increase as you walk
towards the end of the corridor.
Rooms with odd numbers are on the right hand
side.
Rooms with even numbers are on the left hand
