The supply base will handle waste from two (2) separate sources, namely waste which are generated
by the offshore oil & gas operations (Offshore Waste) and waste which are generated within the
supply base facilities (Onshore Waste).

Offshore wastes which are mostly hazardous and scheduled wastes stored in self-
contained containers or vessels may be stored while in transit at the supply base prior to
the disposal off the site. A third party waste management company will usually handle and
dispose these offshore wastes off site.

Onshore waste is generally produced by the supply base facilities and the diagram
below illustrates the different type of onshore waste classification which require a proper
disposal system which in compliance with the local authority, rules and regulations

Domestic Biodegradable
Additionally for the treatment of domestic biodegradable wastes, composting system to
process approximately 400 to 500kg of food/organic biodegradable waste per day. This
composting system shall able to transform organic material within 5~10 days into compost
which may be used as organic fertilizer

Industry Hazardous / Scheduled
These wastes are stored in self-contained containers and may be stored at the supply
base prior to the disposal off the site. A third party waste management company will
usually handle and dispose these offshore wastes off site.

The Contractor shall design and provide a waste management facility for the storage
of this industry hazardous / scheduled wastes which shall enable the clean, safe and
proper handling and storage prior to such disposal off site (including for the storage
and transfer of hazardous and scheduled liquids).
