A plurality of respondents polled were aware of
the issue. Men and those 55 years and older were
more likely to have heard of the issue.
Question: On Sept 13 the Law society of new Brunswick is reconsidering its decision to allow law school graduates from Trinity
Western University to practise law here in New Brunswick. Some people are against Trinity Western's Christian code of conduct,
in which students promise to only have sex, only within the confines of a marriage, between a man and a woman. Some people
call that discriminatory and want to ban those students. Have you heard about this issue? (n = 523)
PC supporters and other candidate supporters
were more likely to have heard of the issue.

A strong plurality of people believe the religious
freedom of TWU law graduates should be
protected.
Question: Do you believe that the religious freedom of Christian students should be protected and Trinity Western
graduates should be allowed to practice law? (n = 492)
Those who are aware of the issue tend to have an
opinion on the issue more than those who are
unaware of the issue.

PC supporters, other candidate supporters and
undecided voters believe in the freedom to
practice than Liberal and NDP supporters.

Only a small minority of people across all
demographics see this issue as impacting there
vote.

Awareness of the issue has a small impact on
whether or note they see this as an election issue.

PC and NDP supporters are more likely to be
influenced by this issue when they vote.

Almost of respondents are still undecided
about which political party they will support.

The Liberals have a slight lead over the PC party,
however, within margin of error. PC support higher
with males and those 55 and over in age.

likely to support the PC party.

Those who support the freedom to practice and
see it as an election issue are more likely to vote
