Concept is less than one
of the questions asked are related to the topics
above.
Fractions - on denominators
Decimals - decimal points
Percentage - X 100 %
Usually asked on problem solving questions
fractions multiply a whole number
Look for key words in the questions and understand
what is asked for.
Practice on completing fractions and understand
vocabulary related to the topics.


MIXED OPERATIONS AND AVERAGE

Has its own principles and formulas.
Mixed Operation - BO DM AS
For MT 015/2, you must show your workings clearly and make
sure you are confident with your workings. Do not
show 2 methods and expect the teacher to choose for
you.
Average -

Questions on Average for MT 015/1 are usually on how to
find the total when the average is given.
For finding the total :
a. Multiply average with number of quantities.
b. add all the number of quantities given.
c. product (a.) take away with the total (b.)
d. if asked for 2 equal amount- divide by 2

Technique Of Answering Mathematics Paper 2
Questions (015/2)
1. Technique of constructing and copying tables

If you are not able to remember your
tables/how to convert units, write down the
tables/units first before you start answering
the questions.



2. Technique of answering diagrams/tables


For questions on diagrams/tables (esp.
questions on perimeter, measurements tools
etc.) it is best for you to write down the
appropriate units or hidden information before
you continue to solve the problem.




Technique of Answering Mathematics Paper 2 (015/2)

3. Technique of drawing diagrams or tables

For questions on problem solving which do not show
any diagrams or tables, it is better for you to
understand the question by drawing diagrams or
tables or jotting down the important notes.

4. Important:

Questions on problem solving must be solved
systematically or follow the correct steps.
