The word communication means the act or
process of giving or exchanging of information,
signals, or messages as by talk, gestures or
writing.
Through communication we convey opinions,
feelings or information understood by others,
through speech, writing or bodily movement.

PREPARATION FOR EFFECTIVE
COMMUNICATION
While preparing a written or an oral message,
you need to plan, organize, compose, edit and
revise it. The message must also be proofread
and corrected before it is communicated. Apart
from the steps mentioned above the
communicator must take care of seven C
qualities. Careful preparation of communication
is important, even if the communicator has the
modern technology. The basic planning steps
are as follows:

4. Collect all the facts to back up these ideas.

BARRIERS IN EFFECTIVE
COMMUNICATION
People in the world are not exactly alike.
Cultures or countries are not the same. These
differences can cause problems in conveying
your meanings. Each persons mind is different
from others. As a result, message senders
meanings and the receivers response are
affected by many factors, some of them are as

It is really important that while communicating through
symbols, the sender uses to communicate messages

words, our physical appearance also a way of
communicate, for instance usually when we wear
new or shiny clothes everyone understand that
we are celebrating a special event.
