Cabinet - ODCA
The existing outdoor cabinet will be replaced with
the ODCA.
The Current Outdoor cabinet is a modular (site
assembled) product structure consisting of the
following:
Cabinet core 12TRX (CRMA+TRSA)
Outdoor Application kit (OAKA)
Internal antenna feeder kit (ATCA)
Cable Entry Kit (OEKA)
All of these kits will be integrated into the ODCA
cabinet.
ODCA is a dedicated outdoor cabinet:

The Cabinet is delivered completely assembled.

New features:
Preinstalled cabinet kit (OAKA) components
Preinstalled internal antenna feeder kit (ATCA),
and cable entry block (rear facing) in the roof
(OEKA)
Easier to install antenna feeder connectors at
antenna box (one big nut instead of four screws)
Major Benefits:
Typical installation time up to 50% less vs.
current due to preinstalled jumper cables and
outdoor kit components
Comes in one box less packaging material to
be removed from site
Additional base plate mounting holes allows
easier access
Schedule:
Delivery start: Nov 2005

Note: Similar product structure change will take
place with MIDI cabinet in 1Q/2006.

Completely RoHS compliant
Uses the same cooling principle as current cabinet
number of fans and fan type remains the same
Power consumption and MTBF performance are identical
with current design
Same environmental and mechanical specifications,
except:
Cabinet weight w/o units:
147 kg ODCA
162 kg CRMA/TRSA+OAKA+ATCA+OEKA
For weight comparison purposes, both cabinets are
equally configured with ATCA and OEKA pre-
installed.
Fully compatible with all existing UltraSite units, except:
Integrated Battery Back-up Unit is not supported
Latest revision of the WCDMA core racking
mechanics (WTCA) must be used.

The first difference is the amount of boxes received.
CRMA + OAKA are shipped in 2 large, pallet boxes (see photos below).
Within the OAKA there are 17 smaller boxes with bags (left photo). The ATCA
and OEKA are shipped separately in 2 additional boxes w/ bags.

Total boxes = 2 large boxes w/ pallets, and 19 smaller boxes w/ bags.

The preferred method and Zone 4 required Earthquake mounting is
now located inside of the cabinet in the four locations shown.
No other mounting is recommended for Earthquake rated zones.

The entry block will be preinstalled facing the rear of the cabinet.
The possible new entry block (right photo) has 6 less cable entry
holes. This is to cut down the assembly time. OAKA has 12 gasket
parts, ODCA will have only 6 which is easier to assemble.

a large nut w/ D shaped connector instead of 4, M3 screws.

The IBBU and Triple Mode Power cables (J1) removed from the
busbar. Adapter cables added to the WTCA unit provide the power
connection for a Triple Mode system.
