GOOD TEACHING vs TEACHING FOR EXAMS

So how does being good in the
English Language benefit your
pupils ?

Pupils need to have a purpose.
Pupils need to be motivated.
Lessons need to be meaningful.
GOOD TEACHING

Pupils are able to:

1. Answer any exams questions
and score !!
2. Use the English Language for
life purposes.

TEACHING FOR EXAMS

Pupils:

1. Can only answer exams
questions that have been drilled
and may not score !!
2. Cannot use the English Language
for life purposes effectively.

So you want your pupils to SCORE in UPSR

1. Teach GOOD ENGLISH
2. Knowing the English Language Marking Scheme
is a bonus to AID you in teaching GOOD
ENGLISH and not to teach ENGLISH FOR EXAMS
TIPS FOR GOOD TEACHING
Very Important!
Pupils should:
NEVER shade two answers for the same question. No marks will be
given even if one of the chosen answers is the correct answer!
Erase an answer to be changed carefully so as not to be detected as
having two answers to the same question.
