Colour code of HYSYS:
Red - A major piece of
information is missing
Yellow - All major info is
present, but the stream /
operation has not been solved
because 1 or more degrees of
freedom is present.
Green - The stream/operation is
completely defined & solved.

Connecting the stream (attach mode)
Attach mode
Steps for making a connection:
1. Ensure you see a small transparent
box appears at the cursor tip, with a
pop-up description attached to the
cursor tail (Out in this case)
2. Left-lick and hold the cursor, the
transparent box becomes solid black,
indicating that you are beginning a
connection.
H82CYS - Computer System Getting Started with HYSYS 24
Steps for making a connection:
3. Drag the cursor (while still
clicking on it) toward the left
side of the Cooler.
4. Place the cursor near the
connection point, and release
the cursor, the stream will snap
to that point.
H82CYS - Computer System Getting Started with HYSYS 25
Steps for making a connection:
1. Position the cursor over the
right end of the Cooler icon.
2. Left-click and hold the cursor.
3. Move the cursor to the right of
the Cooler.
4. Release the cursor
