You will see the difference in our character from the start and the beginning

NARRATIVE SYNOPSIS OF VIDEO

1. Intro
The video will begin with various montage shots of
all the scenes that will feature in the video. When
the beat of the songs starts to die down, the first
shot of the first verse will appear in the montage
after every other shot and the last shot of the intro
will be that recurring shot and so when the first
verse starts, that shot will continue into the rest of
the scene for the first verse.
5. Second verse
This scene will begin with the artist and her boyfriend, she
will be miming the first two lines of the verse to him so it
shows shes directing her lyrics to him.
The following three lines will be a shot of the artist and her
boyfriend disagreeing with each other. The artist is trying to
get her boyfriend to see things from where shes coming
from so her expressions will show her pleading with her
boyfriend but the boyfriend doesnt look interested in what
she has to say.
The last line will be a shot of the artist standing alone by
herself in a dark room as without her boyfriend everything is

2.First verse
The scene will start, with the artist
in a room facing a mirror, applying
her makeup. On the dressing table
there will be candles. The camera
will be positioned behind her on the
right-hand side. The camera will
start to track behind the artist and
stop on the left-hand side of her
until we see her reflection in the
mirror. She will be miming the lyrics
whilst looking at herself so it seems
shes trying to tell herself that she
needs to leave the relationship and
that she deserves better. The artist
will be reflecting on her relationship
and her thoughts will be shown to
the audience transparently through
editing..

3. Bridge
The artist will get up from her seat
and start walking away and as she
walks away the camera will track her
until we see the dancers (which they
will start dancing when the chorus
begins). The artist will walk out of the
shot of the dancers and the camera
will just stay put whilst the dancers
are dancing. This scene will combined
with the artists performance scene.

4. Chorus
The camera will be positioned in a
long shot and the dancers will
dance a routine dance. The artist
will also be dancing on a separate
occasion but through editing, we will
combine the two scenes together so
we have a combination of both the
dancers and the artist.

6. Bridge
Artist will be performing and there
will be a projection of different
things that symbolise her
enlightenment i.e. fireflies that will
be projected behind her but will also
be projected on her at the same
time.

8. Instrumental

7. Chorus
Dance scene intercutting with
solo performance by the artist

9. Hook
A close up shot of the artist. During this shot, there will be fade ins and outs
of burning pictures of her and her boyfriend and also things that symbolise
love or things that symbolise their relationships. Shots of the artist lying
down on the floor being surrounded with candles.

Montage of shots
Arguing scene
Mirror scene
Projector scene

10. Bridge
Range of shots of
people holding flares,
still shots of people,
single shots of the
artist, wide shots of
the artist in the open
field location.

11. Chorus
This final scene will be shot
in an open field, where a
number of girls are
celebrating their
independence alongside the
artist. The scene will end with
a shot of a lantern being set
off in the air which will
represent her letting go of her
relationship.
