COURSE OUTCOMES
Students should be able to:
Discuss the management of design process and the
importance of client briefing
Analyse project risks in terms of time, cost and quality
Evaluate the significance of value management in project
Discuss the concepts and importance of project
methodology to successful project outcomes.
Show an understanding, and be able to discuss and
analyse the significance of quality, safety, value and risks
in project.
Manage the design team effectively throughout the
project phases
Have an improved knowledge and understanding of the
weakness, dislocations and in efficiencies in construction
project management system.

SYNOPSIS / COURSE
DESCRIPTION
To develop capability in managing an integrated
project and associated process. It covers: design
processes, value management, risk, safety and
total quality management.
The course is to be delivered through lectures and
tutorials. The students are expected to submit
assignments and also sit for an examination
