Contents title- This is used to tell the audience what the page is
going to be about, it is usually at the top of the page and is mostly
in a bigger font to the rest.
Magazine logo- This is used to show continuity of the front page
and to show a housestyle.
Main inset image- This is usually the biggest convention on the
page and is positioned as most important as text/ articles etc
surround it.
Headings- These are used to introduce each different article to the
audience so its easy for them to locate information they want.
Vertical column- This is used to organise the articles/text in a
smart and professional way so the magazine looks effective to the
audience.
Page numbers- These are used to help the audience to locate
certain information they want to read quickly and easily.
Buzz word- (on the front cover) words such as New, exclusive as
these are used to persuade the reader to want to buy the magazine
as they are powerful and persuasive words that influence the
reader.
Institutional details (on the contents page)- these are used to
inform the reader of the issue. I will use this convention as this
gives the audience more alternative ways to access information
about the magazine.
Adapted magazine logo ( on the double page spread)- the
magazines logo slightly changed to fit the layout of the double
page spread. I will use this to show continuity throughout the
magazine which makes the magazine become well known and
popular as well as recognisable.
