and respond appropriately in
formal and informal
situations for a variety of purposes.
Learning Standard: 1.2.2 Able to listen to and follow :
(a) simple instructions.
(b) simple directions.
1.2.3 Able to give:
(a) simple instructions in school
(b) simple directions to places
school with guidance.

Learning standard: Able to give simple
directions
Ways: Create a mini neighborhood.
Place a flashcard or picture on each
students desk (pharmacy, school, fire
station, playground)
Arrange the desk so they create streets.
Students take turns giving each other
directions to and from locations.

Example Activity:
Simon says turn left and walk
straight along Jalan Rambutan.
Simon says go straight till you see a
T-junction.

Learning standard: Able to listen to
and follow instructions and
directions.
Ways: Incorporating songs with
movement.

Wheels on the bus
The wheels on the bus go round and
round students go around the
classroom.
Have students line up and go around
the class to resemble bus.
Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes
Teach kids the parts of the body.

this activity integrates reading


skill when students read out the text
or dialogues given before perform the

Activity 2: Listening and


writing

Songs
- Songs can be used during the
lesson as well
- Teacher plays the song twice
- At first, teacher plays the song
and let the students to sings along
and do some actions
- For the second round, students
are given lyric with few blanks
whereby students are needed to fill
in the correct words according to
