the players are paid nearly 20 lakhs to 14 crore per year depending on his
experience and his stature .

During a 59 game season , a coach can pick up about a weakness in an

opponents offense or the shots of one of his own players will translate into
more runs on the scoreboard , more wins and ultimately more win for the
team.

Traditional cricket statistics failed to capture all the details associated with
every play and was not easily related to video tapes of games.

The software available with Indian team was very generic and did not produce
any analytical information .

A company called Sports Mechanics has found a way to collect and organize
fine-grined statistical data and relate the data to associate video clip .

Each game is dissected and tagged , play by play using 100s of

descriptive categories and this date is linked to high resolution video .
