Basis of the Study

As far as possible data was obtained from

Marinas directly
Some data obtained from the Internet
Assumptions were avoided as far as
possible
Some rates had to be calculated from data
supplied
The whole study will be fed back to all
contributors, to them, many thanks.

The Yachts
A Cross Section of Typical Yachts was used:
A 40 ft / 12 metre monohull sailing yacht
typical of the local cruising market
A 46 ft / 14 metre catamaran, typical of the
bareboat charter market
A 65 ft / 20 metre monohull yacht, typical of
the higher end cruising market
A 130 ft / 40 metre monohull motor yacht a
mid-range Megayacht

Calculation
Rates were calculated per night for
each yacht type for the following
periods:

The High Season between December

& May
For daily visitor berthing
For monthly storage berthing
The Low Season between June &
November
For daily visitor berthing
For seasonal storage berthing
