The main characters

Harry Potter Harry, on the other hand, was small
and skinny, with brilliant green eyes and jet black
hair that was always untidy. He wore round glasses,
and on his forehead was a thin, lightning shaped
scar. (page 9) He is a twelve year old boy. Harry
frequently finds himself entangled in dangerous
adventures from which comes out as a hero. He is
good, brave, innocence, friendly Harry is the good
character in whole books of the series.

Ron Weasley He is a freckle - faced, red haired,

long nosed (page 18) boy. His family is poor. Ron is
one of Harrys best friends at Hogwarts and he is loyal
to Harry. He uses experience and a process of trial
and error to solve problems. He is often perceived as
a sidekick of Harry. He is also brave but mischievous.
Ron always has good intentions.

Hermione Granger She has bushy brown hair

(page 34) and is always the top student in her class.
She is clever and well read. Hermione was born to a
Muggle family. Sometimes she disapproves Harry and
Rons behaviors, but she stands by them. She is
petrified in the novel but her research on the Basilisk
enables Harry and Ron to know how to enter the
Chamber of Secrets and what is in it.
Harry represents courage, Ron represents loyalty and
Hermione represents intellect.

The other characters

Voldemort, Draco Malfoy, Albus
Dumbledore, Severus Snape, Hagrid,
Minerva McGonagall, Ginny Weasley,
Gilderoy Lockhart, Lucius Malfoy,
Dobby, Fred and George Wesley

Themes
Tolerance of people who are different
Reliance on a community

Names
Some of the most fascinating aspects of this book
reside in the names of the characters
Lucius Malfoys name suggests evil; mal is a latin
root meaning bad and Lucius echoes Lucifer
Lockharts name describes his locked heart or secret
identity
Other names are actual words
Dumbledore is an old English word for bumblebee;
Dumbledore works hard to sustain his community at
Hogwarts

Conclusion
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second book in the
series
It describes return of the evil wizard Voldemort in a new form, as a
Tom Riddle
As Harry matures, the books mature as well
Two worlds exist in the books, one is real with non magical people,
and the other is fantasy world with wizards, witches, monsters,
miracles
Children like Harry, he is a hero, wizard, but he is also an ordinary boy
who experiences the complexity of growing up
The books have achieved a big success after their publication
The novels contain all the elements of adventure and detective story
This is my favorite book of the Harry Potter series and that is the
reason I wrote about it
