Statistics

ICT is 12.1% of GDP. Sector is growing rapidly.


The Mobile phone subscriptions grew by 4.58% from 31.2M to
33.6M with penetration ratio rising from 78.02% to 82.6%.
Internet subscriptions reaching 26.1M making the penetration ratio
stand at 62% of the total population.
In the past year, Broadband penetration has grown from 3.6% to
4.07% thereby registering a 0.42% growth.
The number of Mobile Money Transfer Agents grew from 103,660
to 121,924 registering 14.97% growth.
The number of licensed Courier Services providers rose from 215
to 232 registering an annual increase of 7.91%.
