Study Population
Target Population:
1,427 residents of Brgy
Poblacion, Libacao Aklan 18
y.o. and above
Sample size:
312 residents 18 y.o. and
above

Sampling Procedure
Systematic Sampling with a Random start
1.The record of the 1,427 residents of Poblacion, Libacao 18
years old and above will be retrieved from Barangay Hall and
names will be listed in alphabetical order and coded with
numbers from 1 to 1,427.
2.The sampling interval will be derived by dividing the total
population by the desired sample size: K = 1, 427/312 = 5.
3.After determining the sampling interval, the researcher will
select a random number between 1 and 1,427.
4.Starting with case number chosen (the random start), the
researcher willtake every fifth record and when 1,427
number is reached, the researcher will go back to number 1
and continue to draw the sample units until the researcher
have drawn 312 numbers.
