When you shall be called you may proceed to cast your
vote by postal ballot
In the area designated for postal ballot, Gazetted Officer
is present to attest your Form 13A. Please produce EPIC
or any other departmental photo id card for attestation
purpose

larger envelop Form 13C.

IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER
To sort out difficulties in locating the name of

electors in the electoral rolls.


For each premises/ building location where 3 or more
polling station are located a team of officials will be
appointed to facilitate the voters to locate his/her
particular polling station no. And the serial no. Of
that voter in that electoral roll.
Necessary arrangements for sitting of the teams with
a proper sized signage indicating voter assistant
booth.
Where ever the rolls is printed in other vernacular
language the same can be translated in English if the
database is in unicode.

ECI LETTER 464/INST/2007/PLN-1 DATED 12/01/2007 AND

INSRUCTIONS IN LETTER NO.464/INST/2008/EPS DATED


16/01/2009.
No booth is set up by political parties/candidate with in a
distance of 200 m from the polling station.
Only one table and two chairs at each booth for two
occupants who have to be voter in the same polling station
area having an epic. Person not have criminal record.
Prior permission in writing to be obtained from the ro.
Such booth to be issued only unofficial identity slips.
Only one banner to display the candidate name and parties
symbol.

REGULATION OF PLYING OF VEHICLES ON POLL DAY


[ECI's No. 437/6/96-PLN-III dt. 16.01.1996 & dated 24.3.2007 and No.
437/6/2006 - PLN-III dt. 23.11.2007]

One vehicle for candidate, one vehicle for election agent

and one vehicle for candidate's workers/party workers be


allowed - not more that 5 persons including drivers be
allowed.
If candidate is absent from constituency no other person
allowed to use the vehicle allotted to him - No other
vehicle should be allowed to be used by any leader.
Permits be issued by DEO - Permits be displayed on wind
screen of vehicles
Carrying of voters by these vehicles - Corrupt practice u/s
133 and penal action u/s 123(5) of RP Act, 1951.

through 2 holes and the ends of the wire may be
given few twists or knot.
The rear compartment is not to be sealed as it will

Ensure that Polling agents are strictly voter of that

Mock poll should be conducted 60 minutes before
the commencement of poll. If all polling agents do
not reach, you may wait for 10 minutes and start
mock poll.
Atleast 50 mock-votes must be cast during mock

The PrO should mention names of the agents, names
of the candidates & take their signatures.
The PrO should conduct Mock Poll & sign the Mock
Poll certificate in the prescribed format.
Sector Officer will collect such certificate by first
hour.

Summary
Method of sealing control unit with strip seal
1. Before the commencement of the actual poll, conduct a
mock poll.
2. After conducting mock poll and showing the result, clear
the Control unit of the data by operating Clear button.
3. After clearing the data switch off the control unit and
then insert the green paper seal
4. After inserting the green paper seals, the inner door
above the result buttons shall be closed.
5. Then the inner door of the result section shall be sealed
off with the special tag.
6. After fixing the special tag, close the outer door of the
result section

7. Then seal the outer door with thread and address
tag.
8. Fix the strip seal around the control unit to seal
the result section from outside completely
9. Before the strip seal is fixed affix your signature in
full immediately below the serial number and get
signature of polling agent/ contesting candidates
10.The strip seal shall, then, be positioned just below
rubber cap covering the CLOSE button.

Precaution in sealing
Important precautions while sealing with strip seal:
1. While fixing strip, ensure the rubber cap covering the CLOSE
button is left clear and there is no difficulty in removing the
rubber cap and operating that CLOSE button.
2. The strip seal shall be fixed tight and not loose.
3. DAMAGED STRIPS HAVE NOT TO BE USED IN ANY
CIRCUMSTANCES.
4. Each polling station will be supplied with four (4) strip seals.
5. Account for each strip seal supplied to the polling station for
the conduct of poll in the Presiding Officers Diary.
6. Return every strip seal that has not been used (including the
7. strips (or pieces thereof) damaged accidentally)
8. Strip seals are kept in safe custody always
