The first experimental electric telegraph line was started between

FINDING

Vodafone, Idea and Airtel ranked 1st for providing the best
network coverage to their customers.
Tariff wars amongst the providers.
99% of the new subscribers use pre-paid facility.
It was found that very few respondents prefer 3G service.
Advertising and celebrity have least impact on the
purchase decision of the respondents.

It was quite difficult to do such kind of survey . We

were unable to decide the location for starting the survey
at the initial stage.

When we went to some of the retailers for the survey,

they said that they are not interested in filling the
questionnaire and told us to not to waste their time, but
still we convinced them to fill it.

Some respondents didn't even bother to take a glance

at the questionnaire and went away without responding to
our request.

The companies should try to make availability of their

network in all area.
The company should try to develop more effective
advertisement on T.V., radio, banner, newspaper etc
The companies should try to increase commission and
incentives to the retailer
The company should try to give more effective
promotional offer and introduce new schemes.

This study is restricted only to the Ahmedabad city. So,

results may not be applicable to other region.
This study is based on prevailing customers preference but
the customers preference may change according to time,
technology, development, new schemes, etc.
It may be possible that some of the respondent may furnish
wrong bias data.
The most of the working people are less interested to give
information and also not interested in fill up the
questionnaire.

From the survey we can conclude that VODAFONE,

IDEA, AIRTEL, BSNL have the good market share and
they are trying to maintain their market share and coming
up with new attractive schemes.
From the market survey of ahmedabad we found that
majority of customer are using Vodafone and airtel cell
connection only because of their network strength.
There are many companies offering for using cell
connection so the customer choose from many option and
ultimate benefit will go to customer.
