Background
Incremental growth in Agricultural production depends on
interventions related to;

Backward linkages (input subsidies, incentives)

Forward linkages (market interventions)

Although huge incentives on input side, production of pulses,


coarse cereals not taken up if proper market is not there.
If market facilities will strengthen, production may rise due
to surety of market.
Thus, it directly facilitate to farmers to grow more pulses,
coarse cereals and oilseeds. (specially in pre dominant
areas of pulses & coarse cereals)
