BOARD FEET:

Lumber is priced by the linear foot since
tongue and groove boards are being
used. This means that each running
foot of length in the board is calculated
into the cost.
Calculating

 Determining

Board Feet:
When a number is rounded up, it means
the next higher whole number is used.
In order to combine 3 items into 1 item in
the bill of materials, the 2-3 ft. pieces are
cut from one 6 ft. piece.
A lot of material is used to determine the
material that must be assembled from a
project and its estimated cost.

materials. These vary with the project
being planned.
