INTRODUCTION
Sacred

Heart College is the oldest Catholic

Institution in Quezon Province founded by a
simple and humble lady named Fausta
Labrador. The school takes Christ as the
center towards which all academic and nonacademic practices flow and converge. The
school aims to produce boys and girls of
character, imbued with the spirit of Saint
Vincent de Paul, the church, The Church, The
Christ. The schools products are maka-tao,
makadukha, Makakalikasan,
makabayan, and makaDiyos

STATEMENT

OF THE PROBLEM
The survey is conducted to find out the
perceptions of the students and
community regarding Sacred Heart
College.
The survey sought to answer the
following questions:
What do people know about Sacred Heart College?
What are the opinionated answers of the
respondents?
What are the factors about Sacred Heart College
are known to the respondents?
What recommendation can be deduced from the
findings of this study?

SCOPE

AND DELIMITATION OF THE STUDY

The main focus of this survey is to know what are
the things that comes to peoples mind when they
hear the institution Sacred Heart College and also
the researcher wants to know the perception of its
students regarding sacred Heart College.
This survey is appropriate to researchers who wish
to make a study regarding Sacred Heart College or
Catholic Institutions in Lucena City Quezon.
In this survey, the target participants are of course
its students to be able to know what students in SHC
reaction when Sacred Heart College comes into their
minds also to the people living near the institution,
the researcher wish to know their idea or insights
regarding Sacred Heart College. Respondents in the
In-Campus Survey were aged 17-22 years old and
23-35 years old for the off campus survey.

METHODOLOGY
The

descriptive survey method will be used as

research methodology. Descriptive research
design is a type of research method that is used
when one wants to get information on the current
status of a person or an object. It is used to
describe what is in existence in respect to
conditions or variables that are found in a given
situation. In this case the research methodology
requires gathering relevant data from the
students and community living at Barangay 2 & 4
both in the city proper. By conducting an interview
to a person with the question What do you know
about Sacred Heart College? and compiling these
data in order to analyze the material and arrive at
a more complete understanding of the subject on
hand to be able to produce a meaningful
recommendation.

Upon asking the question What do you know about
Sacred Heart College? SHC student stated the following:

RECOMMENDATIONS
Upon

conducting a survey, the researcher deduced the

following recommendations
Prepare an audio visual presentation in promoting the school
that will be aired in local TV and radio stations
Make a big time expansion for the increasing growth of
enrolees.
Buy high technology materials to improve the learning of the
students
Prepare more sports activities for the fitness of the students.
NO OVERWEIGHT POLICY
Establish satellite campuses so other provinces in Quezon and
in the Philippines can experience the Vincentian way of quality
education
Conduct a free testing of HIV/AIDS to the students to prevent
the disease.
Higher standards in hiring teachers and student priorities
should be implemented
Give extra attention to a specific program like investing,
especially to Education and Nursing courses to be able to lead
in Board Examinations and be discovered in the Philippines as
one of the best Education and Nursing Schools.
