The problems of (JIT )

Ø The major problem with (just-in-time) operation is

that it leaves the operation of production to the
supplier and consumers open.
q
Ø just in time strategy does not seem to have a goal of
the industry (as in the oil industries).
Ø
Ø It would ultimately be desirable to introduce
synchronized flow and linked JIT all the way back
through the supply stream.
Ø

History

Ø The technique was subsequently adopted and
publicized by Toyota Motor Corporation of
Japan as part of its Toyota Production System,

Ø Until The technique was first used by the Ford

Motor Company.

Ø Toyota did not adopt the procedure from Ford,
because Ford had not fully adopted the Just-In-
Time system.
( JIT ) Effect on The Toyota co.

v After the implementation of the (JIT) system on

Toyota co. the company tried to cover all the
world with its products, and satisfied all the
agents, distributer and customers requirements.
v
v At this time Toyota was first observed a successful
Just-In-Time system. It is hard for Japanese
corporations to warehouse finished products and
parts, due to the limited amount of land
available for them.
v
v Before the 1950s, this was thought to be a
disadvantage because it forced the production lot
size below the economic lot size.

( JIT ) Effect on The Toyota co.

vReducing the cost of having an

inventory system or a warehouse in
Japan or even in other country.

vEstablish a very huge and complicated
statistics system for the forecasting
of demand in the world to give advises
and help its agents to marketing their
stock and its products.
