 semi-automatic 20 mm
 an underslung assault carbine
 smart grenade launcher,
 firing a standard 5.56x45mm NATO round,
 top-mounted computer-assisted sighting system with
integrated :
laser rangefinder
thermal vision night vision capabilities, and
6x optical telescopic sight.

 has a much flatter trajectory than grenade launchers.

 its calibre and velocity is more similar to light cannon, it does share
traits with other infantry grenade launchers.
 while development of the 25x40mm XM25
and the 25 x 59 mm OCSW programs
continue

 Magazine Size 30 rounds

 Weight:5.5 kg empty and

may cost $10,000.

problems

 it did not meet weight or cost targets

 To compound matters, the kinetic-energy component had to be

light and short in length. As a result the 5.56x45mm NATO
barrel had a length of only 250mm(9.8 inches),

 which is too short to generate enough muzzle velocity to be

effective. It was just too heavy and too large to be operated
effectively by a soldier.
Corner Shot
specifications
 The Corner shot's shooting range is accurate and effective to 100 meters in
9mm, 40, and 45-caliber pistols, and is effective to 200 meters with a
5.7mm-caliber pistol

 The mechanism can also mount various accessories such as detachable

cameras, audio/video transmission kits, visible and IR lasers and tactical
flashlights, suppressors and rubber bullets

 A standard pistol version is available, along with a 40 mm grenade launcher

 It is 820 millimetres (32.67 in) long, with a weight of 3.86
kilograms (8.5 lb).

 can turn 90 degrees instead of the standard 60 degrees

 special-purpose weapon that can fire around corners

 for SWAT teams and special forces in hostile situations
Metal Storm
features

 No. 1 graded Hi-Tech machine gun

 machine gun that is capable of firing 1 million rounds per minute.

 Metal Storm Limited is a defence technology utilising

electronically fired, stacked projectile technology.

 16,600 rounds fired every second which is 16,500 more bullets

fired in a second than the currently fastest multi barreled
rotary machine gun.
 no moving parts

 bullets are fired electronically

 no spent and ejected cartridge cases as in conventional machine

guns

 . Malfunctions such as typical machine gun jams are now totally

eliminated
 Because Metal Storm can be programmed to fire multiple
rounds with a single trigger pull at an extremely high rate of
fire, it is conceivable that a sniper could deliver multiple rounds,
a double or triple tap, at long range, with no recoil between
rounds.

 Metal Storm has complete control over the timing and rate of
fire. As a result, the weapon can be used to deliver a single
round or dozens of rounds instantaneously at the target.
 The bullets are pre-sealed in the barrels in a stacked
configuration. By ' stacked ' it means that all the bullets are one
behind the other in the barrels, so in effect the barrel itself is
now the ammo magazine.

 No reloading of magazines is needed, the operator just replaces

the pre loaded barrels
MS tech. in small guns
 Metal storm technology can be applied in lots of different ways
like using small metal storm guns

 These quad barreled guns lie dormant until sensors detect

movement, then they automatically acquire the target and give it
a quick million rounds per minute burst of say 600 bullets in
1/1000th of a second !

 perfect defence weapons system,

Examples:
•option of firing different types and calibers of ammunition such
as, 9mm, 40mm, 20mm and so on.
…..
 Metal storm also have hand guns due to the wastage of the
ammunition

 Round per trigger can be set accordingly like 3 rounds per

trigger
Active Denial System
Ray gun
 ADS is a non-lethal

 strong millimeter-wave transmitter used for crowd control

also called pain ray.

 The device can penetrate thick clothing, although not walls

 The ADS is currently only a vehicle-mounted weapon, though U.S.

Marines and police are both working on portable versions
as shown:
Hummers with ADS mounted
 The ADS works by directing electromagnetic radiation,
specifically, high-frequency microwave radiation at a frequency
of 95 GHz (a wavelength of 3.2 mm), toward the subjects. The
waves excite water molecules in the epidermis to around 130 °F
(55 °C), causing an intensely painful sensation of extreme heat.
Tactical High Energy Laser
 THEL, is a laser developed for military use, also known as the
Nautilus laser system

 proven beam- pointing technologies, and existing sensors and

communication networks to provide a new active defense
capability in counter air missions

 It features up to 60 shots without reloading and a P(k) near 1 at

ranges of some 5 km
designed to destroy short-range ballistic missiles

 cruise missiles,
 ground- and air-launched rockets,
 unmanned aerial vehicles,
 mortar shells, and artillery projectiles.

 It consists of an advanced radar that detects and tracks

incoming rockets, and a high-energy laser beam that destroys
them.
 Uses Deuterium-Fluoride (DF) laser

 ethylene and nitrogen trifloride are first reacted in multiple,

side-by-side, high-pressure combustion chambers using an
oxidizer (NF3) rich mixture that generates free F atoms.

 mixture of He and deuterium is also injected into the laser

cavity, and DF is generated in an excited state as deuterium
reacts with the free F atoms. The laser cavity is now ready to
produce a laser beam
 THEL has destroyed 28 Katyusha test rockets and five test
artillery shells.

 Mobile Tactical High Energy Laser (MTHEL), tracked and

destroyed a large-caliber test rocket at the U.S. Army’s White
Sands Missile Ranch in New Mexico. The rocket flew faster and
higher than the Katyushas
