OBJECTIVE
To build a Wireless Robot for Rescue Operation.
The goal of this Robot is to save lives.
To detect unexpected dangerous events like

Fire Accident, Gas Leakage, etc

The important objectives that are associated
in installing of robotic systems:
1) Saving of Manpower.
2) Ability to work in any hostile environment.

What is Robot
A Robot is a mechanical or

virtual artificial agent.

It usually is an
electromechanical machine.
It can be guided by a
computer program or
electronic circuitry.

Types of Robot
Legged
Wheeled
Flying
Climbing

EXISTING SYSTEM
Earthquakes produce a devastating effect and
they see no difference between human and
material lot of times humans are buried among
the debris and it became impossible to detect
them. Detection by rescue workers becomes
time consuming and due to the vast area that
gets affected it becomes more difficult.

PROPOSED SYSTEM
The project proposes an autonomous robotic
vehicle that moves in the earthquake prone
area and helps in identifying the live people
and rescue operations. Hence precious life
can be saved by timely detection in natural
calamities even without the help of large
number of rescue operators.

Implementation
Visual basic to design a GUI ,which

includes the control of the wireless robot.

A RF transceiver is used for wireless
communication.
A temperature sensor is used to measure
the temperature of human body.

Expected Outcome
The ROBO moves in all four directions:

Right, Left, Front, Back .

The robot will travel in a predefined path.
The intruder detector will detect the
obstacle and avoid collision.
The movement of the robot is manually
controlled through PC.

Components to be used
Microcontroller
RF Modem
Motor Driver
LCD
Wireless Camera, etc.

Block Diagram

Block Diagram Explanation

Microcontroller:
A single-chip

computer
On-chip RAM, ROM, I/O ports...
Example: Motorolas 6811, Intels 8051,
Zilogs Z8 and PIC 16X

RF Modem:

RF modem can be used for

applications that need two way
wireless data transmission.
2.4 GHz band, no need to apply
frequency usage license.
High sensitivity, reliable transmission
range.

LCD:
We

will use a 16x2 LCD ( Black on Green 5V ).

This will help us in on system feedback of the
Robot.

Motor Driver:
The Device is a high voltage, high
current four channel driver.
To drive inductive loads (such as
relays and stepping motors).

How will it Work

Connect data modem with PC.
Open GUI on PC.
Connect port with Robo located at remote

location.
Control the moment of Robo with controlling
buttons available on GUI.
Monitor the feedback from Robo.
While moving, if it detects any human it will
stop and the Buzzer is switched on.

ADVANTAGES
This System is an effective and a safe system

to ensure that there are no humans left

behind in a rescue operation.
The System is safe even for the user because
of the use of robotics and no manual work.
The system uses RF and this makes the
system both accurate and reliable.

APPLICATIONS
At the time of Natural Calamities.
Detect humans in War Field.
Used for Security purpose in Jewelry Shops,

Museums, etc.
Car & Home security system
Garage door controller
Automation system

Conclusion
In our project, the robot is designed to move by PC

command.
In this prototype project, we design in such a way that
this robot can be moved anywhere and it can get the
information of particular place.
It is easy to detect any faults or danger in the industry.
It leads easy process without interaction of human.
This project is very much useful in the places where a
human cannot go into the places like ground canals,
smoke oriented caves and this project is very much
useful in such situations.
