 The housing density is not low. But maintenance of the road is good
and the shape of stores and housing area is lattice type.

 Due to location of global unit planning area, Starcity and Kungook univ. ho
spital, demands are expanded. Price of the land is increased with the result
(The gap of price of the land between Gangnam and this site is 50,000~10
0,000 won per pyung)

 Many Chinese live in this area because room rent was so cheap, transporta
tion was so convenient and conventional markets were located
at this site in the past(skewered lamb food restaurant, facilities for Chines
e)

 The real estate is stagnated now (The apartment & stores complex
development was dispersed because of gain and loss relationship
problem before 2~3 years)

1. Consideration for superannuated houses
and the existing residents
- Change from existing multiplex houses that a
little far from subway station to apartment &
store complex building
- This houses are small-pyung type multiplex
houses to consider low-income people and
singles. We will escape luxury image just for
high-income class.
- Apartment & store complex building is
separated with multiplex culture area using
road.

2. Lack of parks and squares, alternative for parks


-To make a square and park at center of site, we will solve the
lack of parks. And these square and park are consist of free
market and street performance stage etc.
-Also fountain will locate in square. Using these characteristics,
we will make communication space.
-Travelers and people can use square and park as rest area.

CASE STUDY : Samsung Seocho Trapalace
 Trapalace is apartment & store complex building in Soecho, Kangna
m. It is 25th story building on the ground
 There are 295 household in Trapalace. Among them 247 households
are mid-type pyung, and pyung is less than 50py.

=> We will develop apartment & store complex building like Trapalace
be consist of mid-type and small-type pyung for the low-income pe
ople and singles or people who lives alone

Rocks market
Located at the north end of George street, nestled in the heart of
The rocks and under the shadow of the Sydney harbor bridge is
The Rocks Market, which has a distinctive amount of arts and
crafts. It has recently been expanded to include a large weekend
market and a farmers market (fridays and saturdays).

CASE STUDY : SANGSANG MADANG

Sangsang madang was opened in September, 2007. In this


building, there are 11 floors(under 4th, upper 7th floors). It is a
culture space complex operated on on-line and off-line.
Concept of the building : enlarging art imagination, meeting the
world, sharing happiness altogether.

in Seoul, Korea
Location : Seoul Gangnam-gu daechi-dong 968-3

Like The Pompidou in Paris, the Tate modern in London and the Moma in
Newyork, Kring gives strong impression, ease and vibration to us. All of those
are in here. It contains not only A performance, display, theatre, digital art but
also café and a sky garden and so on. Kring is the place where all the diffent
lifestyle spaces are came together.

We are going to survey demands to the existing Gosiwon, and we will
make a building to consider these demands.
We will make the modern style building alternative for Gosiwon to avoid
existing superannuated style Gosiwon

• Development through connection with subway station.
• Sew up the convenience through connection of station
exit and West culture building. Through line of flow
people can go to the oriental building using the square.
People can move this street through just walking
• To consider very intensive characteristics of amusement
commercial power nearby Lotte cinema, Department
store and Kunguk univ. Station, we will try to avoid
competitive types of business and do win-win existing
intensive commercial power.
• We will set the goal to consideration for existing
residents.
• Using new contents like culture buildings, square and
park area, we will gather many young people and
travelers at this site.

• We will locate business hotel in this site. Business hotel is
not expensive, so travelers can use it easily.
• There are offices that manage the building and these
area.Through it we can make more job creations.
• Western culture building is consist of restaurants,
clothing stores, fashion & design shops, pubs and bars,
performance spaces and art galleries with western
sensibility.
• Oriental culture building is consist of traditional shops,
tea ceremony, restaurants, clothing stores, fashion & design
shops, pubs and bars, performance spaces and galleries
with oriental sensibility.
• You can experience whole-world in this site through
