(9) Carton

Cartons are usually used to pack cables, circuit boards and terminal devices.
When unpacking the circuit boards, you need to take anti-static measures.
Pay attention to the temperature and humidity of the environment. After
transporting the equipment to a place with higher temperature and humidity, do
not unpack it immediately until 30 minutes later. Otherwise, moisture will
condense on the surface of the equipment, causing damage to it.

Installing Cabinet at Cement Floor

The lower support is placed

on insulating plates to
separate it from the cement
floor.

Plain washer
Insulating washer

Use the M12x60 expansion bolt and 16 bit to

drill the hole on the cement floor.
Depth of the hole must range from 52 mm to 60
mm. Otherwise, the expansion bolt cannot be
fastened.
Take off the M12x60 bolt, spring washer, plain
washer, and insulating washer.

Nut

Guiding rib

Internal Use

Installing Cabinet at Cement Floor

Feed the tube and the nut into the hole
vertically and make sure that the
guiding rib on the nut meets the
guiding slot of the tube.
Hammer the tube until it is completely
buried in the ground.

To fix the lower support, place the

insulating plate and the lower support
in turn aligning with the four
expansion bolts.
Place the spring washer, plain washer,
and insulating covering onto the four
M12x60 bolts.
8

Internal Use

Installing Cabinet at Cement Floor

To level the lower support, place a
level bar in vertical direction on
the top-plane of the lower
support.
Check the levelness of the lower
support.
When an error occurs, adjust the
levelness by adding gaskets
beneath the lower support.

To conduct an insulation test, set the multimeter to "M".

Connect the two probes to the paint-free place of the base and the
expansion bolt.
If the resistance is larger than 5 M , the insulation is properly done.
If the resistance is lesser 5 M , check whether any insulating covering or
insulating washer is missing or damaged.

Installing Boards

Ejector lever

Wear an antistatic wrist strap during installation of the boards.

Insert the boards according to the names on the nameplates properly.
Dont touch the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and components.
Insert the board vertically and gently lest the pins and components on the
backplane be damaged.
Hold the two ejector levers and push the board along the guide rail gently till
it is in position.
Hold both ejector levers and turn them towards the middle of the panel to
fasten the board.
Tighten the screws clockwise on the front panel.

16

Internal Use

Setting DIP Switches

Wear an antistatic wrist strap during installation of the boards.

Before installing boards and modules, check whether the DIP switches (if any)
on the backplane and the boards are correctly set according to the silk screen
printed on the boards.

Cutting the Feeders

Cut feeders before or after hoisting them to the installation position.
Cut the feeders to the determined length, leaving an allowance of 2m.
When cutting the feeders, keep them from being bent and prevent them
from being rolled over by vehicles or stepped on by pedestrians.
Attach temporary labels to both ends and in the middle of the feeders
after cutting each piece.
For the feeder connectors not finished yet or those not connected with
jumpers, make them waterproof by wrapping the connectors with
waterproof tapes or put plastic bags on the connectors and then wrap
them with waterproof tapes.

For the directional antenna, its azimuth error is not greater than +/-5
degrees, and its tilt error not greater than +/-0.5 degrees.
Tune the pitch angle of the antenna gently until it satisfies the design
requirement. Generally, the pitch angle error is equal to or less than
0.5.
