AGRICULTURE
Agriculture is the backbone of india. Agriculture is
also called as farming or husbandary, is the
cultivation of animals. Plants, fungi and other life
forms for food, fishes, biofuel and other products
used in sustain human life. Climate change has the
potential to affect agriculture through changes in
temperature, rainfall (timing and quantity), CO 2, solar
radiation and the interaction of these elements.
Extreme events, such as droughts and floods, are
forecast to increase as climate change takes hold
PAST AGRICULTURAL
PRACTICES
Indian agriculture began by 9000 BCE as a result of
early cultivation of plants and domestication of crops
and animals. In past agriculture practices, implements
were mainly wood, stone, bronze and iron. They are
used for digging, soil preparations, fertilization, sowing
and cultivation. In the years since its independence,
India has made immense progress towards food
security. Indian population has tripled, but food-grain
production more than quadrupled; there has thus
been substantial increase in available food-grain per
capita.
PRESENT AGRICULTURAL
PRACTICES
In Present day practices, farmers are using high
yielding varieties of crops, pesticides which are
very harmful for the crops. We studied modern
forms of agriculture near Ghatkesar, farmers are
using modern equipments, to produce hybrid
seeds of selected variety but due to climatic
change they are facing many problems. There is
no good production on the crops.
SURVEY
CONCLUSION
We studied modern agriculture practices farming near
Ghatkesar. They cultivated the crops by the help of modern
technology equipments like tractor, motor pumps, etc. They
used high yielding variety of crops. They harvested the rice
crop at the month of August, but due to no rainfall the crops
are grown 30 days later. They mostly used chemical
fertilizers and pesticides and rarely organic farming. By
overuse of chemical fertilizers there is no good quality of
crops. We adviced the farmers to use organic farming like
crop rotation, green manure and mixed farming. In this way
they can improve the crop qualityand they can get much
benefits than earlier.
