DONALDS

Introduction
Mc Donald is the world famous fast food
restaurant. The idea of mc Donald's was
introduced by two brothers Mac (Maurice)
and Dick (Richard) Mc Donald in California.
In 1940 the restaurant was renamed as Mc
Donald's Famous Barbeque.
Mc donalds corporation was build in those
times and as a result Ray kroc started
expanding their business by opening
franchises for mc donalds.

McDonald started their business in


India in 1996.they start their
business in India's capital New Delhi.
they choose a busy residential area
Vasant Vihar.
About 75 % of the menu of
mcdonalds has been indianised and
specially designed to woo Indians.

Mc donalds serve more than 47


million customers every day.
McDonalds has 132 restaurants in
India of which 79 are in North & East
India and 53 in West& South India.

OBJECTIVES OF THE
STUDY
To analyze consumer behaviour to words
consumption of fast food at Mac
Donalds.
To study the reason for preference
toward to Mac Donalds.
To study consumer awareness.
To study various factor external or
internal which influence the preferences.

RESEARCH
METHODOLOGY
Research design
The research will be carried out in the form of a survey which will be done in
Bareilly.
Sample design
The target population includes everyone. The sample will selected by a simple
random sampling method as it also includes openeded question and closened
question.
Sample size
The sampling unit is 50.
Data collection
This study involves data collection (primary and secondary) research.
Literature review
The research conducted as a part of the study would include primary as well as
secondary research. Primary research would include a survey that would be
conducted in Bareilly where the responses of consumer would be recorded
through a designed questionnaire. As secondary research would include
various aspects of brand management through internet.

Primary data are those which are collected a


fresh(again but in a new or different way)
and for the first time and thus happen to be
original in character and known as Primary
data.
Primary Data is based on primary source of
information.
The investigator gets it in original or raw
form i.e. it is not been processed earliercoded, tabulated, classified and summarized
in some form for use by someone for some
purpose.

Secondary data means that are already


available that is they refer to the data, which
have already been collected and analyzed by
someone else for its own use and later the
same data is used by a different user or person.
It is based on secondary source of information.
The source of data is called secondary because
this data have already been collected, tabulated
and presented in some form by someone else
for some purpose.
Data may be primary for one agency, may be
secondary for the other and vice-versa.

Findings
Basically 15-25 age group people
prefer mc donalds because in this
age group youths prefer more mc
donalds.
People prefer more mc aloo tikiee in
mc donalds because it is more
reasonable at price. and after mc
aloo tikiee people switch to big mc
burger. Least people preferred
variant is mc puff.

People prefer mc donalds in the


evening because they are free from
their work.
People patronise mc donalds for
delicious food and its affordable
prices. and especially kids get
attracted towards happy meal.

People generally prefer mc donalds


as fast food restaurant rather to go
somewhere else.
Most people attract towards taste of
foods which is available at mc d
because mc burgers, mc puffs and
ice creams are delicious.
The first thing strikes into mind of the
customers at mc d is food quality and
value of money.

Long cues is the main problem at mc


donalds.
People mostly visit mc d weekly and
monthly.
People also prefer mc d due to its
pleasant and attractive environment.

A system that helps people to order
online to deliver it from the nearest
branch of McDonalds to person house.
Also they can include a screen for
customers to see if there is any meal
isnt available in the kitchen and that
will make customers more satisfied
rather than wait for to long.

. Next mobile phone system, it is like


your mobile have a menu of what
MacDonalds meals and you can
choose your order from it and it will
send your information to the nearest
MacDonalds branch and gives you
the way to your nearest MacDonalds
location and you can go and pick it
up.

Company should promote games on


every table. Outlets should be there
in colleges too.
They should come up with more
variety of puff and rolls. Cheese
French fries can be a good option.
Consumers likes, dislikes tastes and
preferences, health etc. have to be
taken into consideration.

Low fat food should be launched.


A system about collecting customers
feedback and suggestions and
analyzing it to make the customers
more satisfied .
And it is going to be more better for
customers if they found MacDonalds
table have a screen when they set
their and they can choose.

Some music to be played which


should be lite and which is makes fell
good and relaxed.
