How the government works


Egyptian government was organized as a large
bureaucracy
A bureaucracy is a system of offices and officials that
handle the business of the government.
Egyptian bureaucracy was headed by a Vizier

Ruling Class
The Pharoah, Vizier, nobles and priests do not actually
produce any goods.
These people are supported by taxes and surplus
crops.

Egyptian pharoahs
A Pharaoh is a monarch of a united Egypt
A monarch is an absolute ruler often claiming divine
power
Monarchs usually try to expand the kingdom through
one of two ways
