En esta unidad ampliaremos los
siguientes temas:
The infinitive of purpose.

INFINITIVE OF PURPOSE
Use the infinitive of purpose to talk about why someone
does something.
I went out to post a letter.
She telephoned me to invite me out to dinner.
We shouted to warn everyone of the danger.
It is also used to say what can/must be done with
something:
Its difficult to find a place to park in the city.
Have you got a lot of work to do this evening.
Would you like something to eat?

USING SO THAT
Sometimes we use so that to talk about the purpose of
doing something. We use so that:
when the purpose is negative:
I hurried so that I wouldnt miss the train.
Leave early so that you wont find any traffic.
with can / could:
Hes learning English so that he can study in Australia.
We travelled to London so that we could visit our friends.
when one person does something so that another
person does something else:
I gave him my address so that he could contact me.
He wore glasses and a false beard so that no one
would recognize him.

Answer the questions using the infinitive of purpose.

Complete these sentences with a verb.
