Child labour
A Socially Accepted
Crime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A CHILDS CRY
They wake up every morning
Before the light of day.
Having to go to work,
There's no time for play.
They're treated unfairly,
And being paid low wages.
Paid less than adults,
Because of their ages.
A CASE STUDY
I WOULD HAVE DIED OF
HUNGER
In January this year, hoping to make some money,
16- year old Babu Lal Sahariya left his home in
Sakara village in Southern Uttar Pradeshs Lalitpur
district and headed for the jungles of the adjoining
state of Rajasthan. This was his eighth trip. His new
job would require him to walk 30 km everyday
grazing cattle in return for two meals and RS.2000 a
month. Babu Lal is one of hundred children belonging
to the Saharia tribe from the district, who work as
bounded labourers in the jungle of Madhya Pradesh
( MP ) and Rajasthan.
Over population
Most of the Asian and
African countries are
overpopulated. Due to
limited resources and more
mouths to feed, children
are employed in various
form of work.
Poverty
Many a time poverty
forces parents to send
their children to
hazardous jobs.
Although they know it
is wrong, they have no
other alternative as
Unemployment of elders
Elders often find it difficult to get jobs. The
industrialists and factory owners find it
profitable to employ children. This is so
because they can pay less and extract
more work. They will also not create union
problem.
Orphans
