For alarm relate to Transmission, we can check from BSC/RNC Level (same way like check alarm in
the cell but the level is on the RNC/BSC)
Alarm Name Related to Transmission is SCTP Link Fault, OML Fault, LAPD Alarm, etc

Case 2 : Late 2G Cell Reselection

Case Type : Drive Test Analysis Configuration analysis

Description : Improper 2G Idle Parameter make bad coverage in several spot
Keyword : Rx Lev Access Min
Conclusion : Too high Rx Lev Access Min make limited coverage for selected
cell

Page 40

Sharing Session (2G System)

Case 2 : Late 2G Cell Reselection

Cell KB054GB did not want to cell reselection to Cell BD022GA , even the distance
nearest from BD022GA and have good signal. Also we must take analysis for this
cell selection reselection. Please see BD022GA have better Rx Level , but have
worse C1 and C2 from KB054GB

Page 41

Sharing Session (2G System)

Case 2 : Late 2G Cell Reselection

So based on Cell Reselection criteria and formula ,we can check parameter
which have improper setting
Like: RxLev_Access_Min , MS_TXPWR_MAX_CCH, CRO , TO and PT

Page 42

Sharing Session (2G System)

Case 2 : Late 2G Cell Reselection

After we do parameter
checking , we found improper
RxLev_Access_min in Cell
BD022GA [25] , so we roll
back again into default value
[8]

Page 43

Sharing Session (2G System)

Case 2 : Late 2G Cell Reselection

After parameter roll back (Rx lev_access_min) into default value in Cell BD022 , cell
reselection process become normal, and coverage bad spot become better
Page 44

Sharing Session (2G System)

Case 2 : Late 2G Cell Reselection

After parameter roll back (Rx lev_access_min) into default value in Cell BD022 , cell
reselection process become normal, and coverage bad spot become better

Case 3 : SDCCH Congestion Impact to unable to send SMS

Case Type : Customer Complaint unable/difficult to send text message

Description : High traffic SDCCH and TCH impact to congestion
Keyword : SDCCH and TCH
Conclusion : Additional SDCCH and tuning half rate setting can reduce
congestion

Page 46

Sharing Session (2G System)

Case 3 : SDCCH Congestion Impact to unable to send SMS

Customer complaint: unable to send SMS at near of Site PRAMBONKDR

Case 5 : Low HOSR due to suspected TRX Problem

Case Type : Low HOSR that suspected due to HW Problem but without having
any alarm
Description : How to investigate particular TRX Problem
Keyword : TCH Assignment Success Rate per TRX( R4419B/ R4419A ) and
Incoming Handover Success Rate (CR443B/ CR443A ) per TRX
Conclusion : By using TCH Assignment Success Rate and Incoming Handover
Success Rate, we will be able to pinpoint which TRX has HW Problem as main
cause of low HOSR
