Using the context


The context is the sentence or
sentence around a word. The
context can tell us a lot about a
new word, what kind of word (noun,
verb, adverb, or adjective). It can
also give you some idea of the
meaning of the word.

The meaning of many words can often be
worked out from the context.
So, we must find

Substitute a word that you know in the space with
use the context. This word will probably be
similar in meaning to the word that you dont
know, as long as the sentence still makes sense.
If you had little trouble choosing word to
fill in the blanks, so fill the blanks with

In many cases, the word you choose will
be close in meaning to the word you
dont know.

If you cannot find any signal words or key words as
stated before, look around new words may help you
to understand the new words.

Using Pronouns and Synonyms


Writers use a pronoun

Pronouns are small worlds, but they are
very important when we are reading cause
