COPAR
Community Organizing Participatory Action Research
COPAR

is a social development approach that


aims to transform the apathetic, individualistic
and voiceless poor into dynamic, participatory
and responsive community.
It is guiding of the people of the community for
them to be able to point out specific problems in
the community no matter how major or minor the
problem may be.
COPAR envisions to empower people for
community development by building and
managing an effective organization

PURPOSE

actions

RATIONALE

aid the people in taking concrete action in


solving their problems
develop the responsibility to manage
problems
enhance their community more in the future.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM


What

are the current and recurring


problems faced by the people of Zonta?
Are the community members working
together ever since to improve Zonta?
How will the coordination within the
people of the community in terms of
support, commitment, and human
resources?

METHODOLOGY
First,

a request letter for the conduct of the


research study will be sent to the Barangay
Chairman.
When approved, ADB will be conducted.
Out of 30 households from Zonta Drive, Zonta 3,
Boalan, Zamboanga City, 20 households will be
selected.
The family in each household will be assessed
and interviewed by the use of Assessment
Database (ADB).
Lastly, the scores per category will be tallied.
finally come up with an analysis and
interpretation of the data of each category.

LIMITATION OF THE STUDY


The

respondents of this study will only


include residents from Zonta Drive,
Zone 3, Boalan, Zamboanga City.

Twenty

families will be chosen through


simple random sampling.

A

great focus of implementation concerning


proper waste management.
Also, encouragement to the resident of the
community to take part in the roads to be taken
n progress of the community is highly significant
And importantly, sufficient education and
awareness must be offered to the residents
