a strong fundamental case intended to mean only that
there are excellent reasons for thinking that woman suffer
from systematic social injustice because of their sex, the
proposition is to be regarded as constituting feminism.
feminism at its core is about empowering and celebrating
women
Feminism is a range of movements and ideologies that
share a common goal: to define, establish, and achieve
equal political, economic, cultural, personal, and social
rights for women.

Women were treated as property and were confiscated
by money lenders or tax collectors to help settle debts
In many Middle Eastern countries, women effectively
live as prisoners, unable to leave the house except
under the guardianship of a male guardian.
Devdasi system, dowry system, purdah system, child
marriage, sati system were some typical instruments
of oppression. Some are prevalent even today.

Types of feminism
Radical feminism is a movement that believes sexism is
so deeply rooted in society that the only cure is to eliminate
the concept of gender completely.
Socialist feminism is a movement that calls for an end to
capitalism through a socialist reformation of our economy.
Cultural feminism is a movement that points out how
modern society is hurt by encouraging masculine behavior,
but society would benefit by encouraging feminine behavior
instead.
Liberal Feminism is the variety of feminism that works
within the structure of mainstream society to integrate
women into that structure.
Eco-feminism a philosophical and political theory and
movement which combines ecological concerns with
feminist ones, regarding both as resulting from male
domination of society.

Matriarchal Society : An ideal

society of feminists
Matriarchy is a social system in which females
hold primary power, predominate in roles of
political leadership , moral authority, social
privilege and control of property at the specific
exclusion of men, at least to a large degree.

Conclusion The change we need

Women should have access to education in order
to assess and assert her rights
There should be no disparity between men and
women in workplace
In the society women should be treated with
respect and dignity ; her honor should be upheld.
Even in home a girl child should be treated in the
same manner as a boy child is treated
These small changes along with consciousness will
go a long way in ensuring gender neutrality men
should understand that by giving women the
respect they deserve will only ensure their respect
in the eyes of women
