ETHICS
Etymologically:

It comes from two


Greek
word
ethos,
meaning
a
characteristic way of
doing things, or a body
of customs.
Hence, it is a study of
human customs or
ways
of
doing
things.

ETHICS
Classical Definition:

It is the science of the


morality of human acts.
It is a science because it is a
systematic
body
of
knowledge meant to guide
men in their pursuit of the
good and happy life.
It teaches how man ought to
live.

General Ethics
concerns the individual and what he

ought to do to live happy and fruitful


life in this world.

Special Ethics
Concerns the individual

as a member of society.
All
problems
concerning society and
the social order are
taken up

MORALITY
Morality is the

quality of
goodness or
badness of human
acts.

MORAL INTEGRITY
beliefin their own moral

ethics and the


conviction to stick by
them even during times
of adversity and
misfortune.
Therefore a person who
is capable of sticking to
his ethics even during
hard times is said to
have moral integrity.

CHURCH
Church (Latin
ecclesia) originally
meant an assembly
gathered for a
religious purpose.
In Christian usage
the word church
refers to the
worshipping
community, the local
community or
parish and the
entire universal

The Philippine Church envisions a Filipino


society

that is pro human person, pro country,


and pro God (Maka tao,
Maka bayan, at Maka Diyos)
