Todays teens use technology more than ever. iGeneration

Keep personal profiles on social networking websites
Share photos
Technology, especially the Internet, allows all of us immediate
access to information
The world WE live in is different than what ANY generation

As social networking sites have risen in popularity over the past
years, people have been spending an excessive amount of time
on the Internet in general and social networking sites in
specific. This has led researchers to debate the establishment
of Internet addiction as an actual clinical disorder.

tools for methods of ending relationships, proving that
although new media is being used as a tool for connecting
with individuals, it is now creating new problems associated

occurrence and it can often result in emotional trauma for the
victim. Depending on the networking outlet, up to 39% of users
admit to being cyber-bullied The destruction of these online
attacks can leave deep psychological scars.

Privacy concerns with social networking services have raised
growing concerns amongst users on the dangers of giving out too
much personal information. Users of these services also need to
be aware of data theft or viruses.
