life right from his early days, to the battle in which he proved himself
beyond the call of duty. Written for both children and adults, Param
Vir Chakra The Ultimate Honour is available at the price of Rs.299
with a digital version on iOS and other mobile platforms.

The Param Vir Chakra is Indias highest military honour; an honour that
is only awarded to those soldiers who display the greatest degree of
valour and self-sacrifice on the battlefield. Since its inception on our
first Republic Day in 1950, 21 heroes have so far been awarded the
medal. The sensitively portrayed stories will take the readers up close
and into the heart of the battles they fought and give you an insight
into the lives and mind of some of the most courageous men our
country have ever known.

The book was launched by Lt. Gen. Rakesh Sharma UYSM, AVSM, VSM at
the Defence Headquarters, South Block, in New Delhi.

Amar Chitra Kathas team of 6 scriptwriters, 11 artists, 5 colorists and

an extensive editorial team has worked rigorously for more than 2
years to ensure that the significance of bravery, courage, honor,
discipline and selflessness for the safety of the nation is conveyed to
the readers.

It is important that the readers of the book, children and adults

alike, hear the Brave Hearts Stories Book of men who fought Indias
enemies, so that India stayed secure; of men who cared little about
their own safety and placed the country and their comrades above
everything else. We want to create not just awareness but
understanding, love and respect for the Armed Forces. The
youngsters should know and appreciate the discipline, dedication and
complete selflessness of Indias fearless warriors, said Manas Mohan,
CEO Publishing, Amar Chitra Katha Pvt. Ltd.
