Incorporated in 1997, Safexpress began its journey in 1997 with just 9 offices
and 12 vehicles But Now Safexpress is Indias largest express & logistics
enterprise Over 3600 vehicles plying on over 1000 scheduled routes.

580 scheduled destinations countrywide covering 35 states and union


territories coverage spanning ALL districts of India Operating 24 hours a
day, 365 days a year. Safexpress B2C Pvt. Ltd. is the 100% subsidiary of
Safexpress Pvt. Ltd. started in the year 2012.

The B2C pvt.ltd has its 25-pick-ups location in Pan India.

Company recently taking 3000-4000 pick-ups on daily basis

Safexpress B2C works on propel-lite software

The operational process of B2C as follows:

Pick-up & Booking consignment

Pick-Up: When E-commerce Company Call the logistics company to


take material for delivery purpose or for movement of consignment.

Booking: The relationship between consignor & Transport Company


or consignee for doing transfer or movable consignment from one
place to another place.

Transhipment

When the consignment move or transfer from hub to hub that process
is known as transhipment process.

It majorly happens when the destination address is at across the state


boundaries or the country. The consignment can be move throughout
the different modes of networking like

Surface : 1.80 days by surface mode

Air : 1 days by air mode

Air mode is separately managed by Safeair team.

Documents required for the Transhipment process.

a. Invoice
b. VAT form
c. Route Performance Sheet (RPS)
d. Transit Pass (T.P.) for the surface mode of transfer or the multimode.
e. Loading tally sheet
f. Unloading tally sheet

The transhipment includes two major processes:

a. Unloading
b. Loading

Delivery

After the consignment load on the vehicle it moves toward the destination
address in the local area for the delivery. The timing is the main factor for
any organization in this field we have to deliver the consignment on the given
time.

For the delivery process the loading and unloading of the consignment done
on the LIFO method and little bit difference in the documentation.

Documents required in the delivery process

5. Gate pass

Gates pass having the three copies:

a. White Copy
b. Yellow Copy
c. Pink Copy

White Copy: It is used for identify that the delivery is by the safe express in clued mode of
payments (to pay, id, credit)

Yellow Copy: It is used for as a POD (Proof of Delivery) and move toward the corporate
office.

Pink Copy: It is used for the record in the office. It is a office copy.

Process of Gurgaon Hub

Daily operation schedule

7-7:30 =
8-8:15 =
8:30 9 =
9:30

All the operation team comes till 7.30.


All the associates come till this time.
All the trip sheet is made till 9AM.

= Till 9.30 All the vehicle is depart from the hub.

After the vehicle is departed from hub now the work is of whatever is the pending inventory we
have to clear it by doing RTO & whatever is not updated on our system we have to update it .

And if any pending booking of karma is there we have to book it manually.

3 PM onwards all the associate come we check whatever is deliver and whatever is not
delivered.

We collect COD amount accordingly & close the trip sheet.

And next day we submit the COD amount that we have collected previous day .And update the
waybills COD reconciliation

Problems and solutions

Problem: - The process for controlling the inventory should be more clear .

Solution: - B2C can do its work more accurate by providing scanners in the
warehouses. It will help in losing our shipment .Daily Report Generation and
give it to top level management.

Problem: - High cost of delivery is reducing Productivity.

Solution: - As the shipments are less and the associates are more in numbers
so we are not underutilizing man power we should arrange the associates
according to the load of the warehouse.

Problem: - Infrastructure of a warehouse.

Solution:- There should be 360 degree camera in the warehouse . B2C should
have separate warehouse than B2B.

Problem: - Problem of Advertisement

Solution: - There should be a Advertisement of SAFEXPRESS PVT. LTD so that everybody come to
know about this company this will help in increasing the business.

Problem: - Hub cost monitoring and Improvement. Hubs are not able to handle higher loads

Solution: - We can decrease the associates in number van cost we can minimize when there is
less load and improve the process by the inward and outward scanners this thing will help us
when we will have high load. Van productivity and delivery, process improvement, utilization of
resources

Problem: - Improvement in the warehouse process

Solution: - kaizen system should be followed there should be a drastic improvement in current
problem. There should be small continuous improvement in current process.

Warehouse workplace should be 5s system
