PREFACE
Today I learned about PFC teached by Mr. Kunkun and
Stockfit and Assembly by Mr. Didin.

What is PFC?
As I have known and learned, PFC is a guiding thing (some
sheets of paper) to make a shoe. Each shoes model has
different PFC. In other hand PFC is a production process
standard in making shoes including upper {material,
laminating, cutting, silk screen processing, HF welding,
skiving, buffing, stitching and many many more} and also in
bottom area {IP process, rubber, pre stockfitt, stockfitt, and
many many more} also assembling to keep quality of the
shoes based on based practice.

As I have known and said by the others, production that has

been running now is Air Max Motion men and women.

What is Model Summary?

Model summary means shoes
details. In model summary, there
is Key Manufacturing Process. It
gives information about issues that
always occur in production. So it is
important to be concerned.

How about Model Pictures?

In Model Pictures, shoes pictures
from all sides must be viewed.

What is IDS?
IDS stands for Internal Dimension Standard. Each size has different
length measured inside vertically. There is a grading formula, for
example:
How long addition length from:
Size 7 = 326mm
Size 7T?
Calculating:
Size 7T = 326 + 4.23
= 330.23 mm

Standard numbers

Upper Cutting Die

There are star shapes on the PFC.
The stars indicate whereas the
materials should be cutted using
same or different cutting die.
About direction for leather
material, actually leather can be
cutted in any direction, but since
PFC has direction for cutting the
leather, for example,
it must cutted vertically.

There are several kinds of cutting die:

Group cutting die means cutting is undergone in grouping

materials, but it used just for one side.
Gang cutting die is same but the difference is it can used both for
lateral and medial. About number of layers, leather must be
cutted in one layer.

Skiving Process
It is a making thin materials process.
NOTE!!!
Skiving just be undergone on backside of components.

It is a material roughing process. It purposes to

open the pores. In other hand to release bonding.
It is undergone manually.

It is a process where marks must be created to

indicate where components must be located.

It is reinforce sticking process before stitched.

What is Stockfit?
Stockfit is sticking process between midsole and outsole or with airbag.
An issue must be concerned among many issues is expired date of IP and rubber.
IP (UV process) has two weeks expired date.
Rubber has 24 hours expired date.

What is UV Process?
UV process is a basic glue. UV process does not use glue, it is just a
liquid to make hot melting stronger. Here is the process:
1.

Washing with warm water so the pores will opened

2.

Giving surface with UV liquid

3.

Iluminating with UV (ultraviolet) light

What is Assembling?
Assembling is a process that sticking bottom and upper.
