Case EPPM
Patient

EPPM is a 25 year-old male, single,


Born-again Christian, government office
worker, born on January 15, 1986 at La
Trinidad, Benguet, currently residing at
Abatan, Buguias, Benguet.

Admitted

to SLU-HSH for the first time due


to Acute Gastroenteritis

Chief Complaint
Income

and savings loss due to sickness

History of Present Complaint

days PTA, he was out with his friends at a


resort at Asin, Tuba, Benguet. They had grilled
meat and vegetables for lunch with various
fresh fruits on the side. They also had kilawen
as pulutan. They returned to their respective
homes after their outing.

On

the night of their outing, EPPM experienced


severe abdominal pain (8/10) with vomiting
(3x) and LBM (2x, 100mL).

This

prompted consult.

Past Financial History


Prior

to the admission, EPPM had been able


to continuously save around PHP 2,000
monthly in a local savings bank, since he
started working at age 22.
The

rest of his salary goes to helping his


younger sibling in school

He

buys and sells gadgets to augment his


regular income.

EPPM

has PAG-IBIG and GSIS membership,


along with PhilHealth coverage.

Been

looking for investment options where


he could get higher returns for his savings.
