OBJECTIVES
a) To bring the youth back to Christ.
- To make YFC live out our important role with the Church or
Chaplain and the community.
- To support the church or chaplain in their evangelization with
the youth.

b) To help make Christ relevant to the lives of the young.


- Evangelization done in a Holistic and Creative way.
- To be able to carry out Christian Values learned in community.
(E.g. male empowerment, respect for leaders, etc.)
- Bring YFC Culture in the Church or Chaplain/Campus Ministry

c) To be active in the community life of the campus ministry.

d) To create opportunities for the young to live out their


faith.

BEST PRACTICES
1. CDO assigned by the Archdiocesan Youth
Ministry in Charge to handle the Program of the
DYD.
2. DAVAO asked by the Davao Youth Ministry to
help in developing the 100% Pure Formation
against the Sex Education Proposal of Davao LGU
3. BOHOL asked by Bohol Archdiocesan Youth
Ministry to teach other youth organization how to
Worship
4. FNYO Recognized and working hand in hand with
the Federation of the National Youth Organization

WHAT WE DO IN YFC
1. In our structure, a YFC Chapter is always under a parish. YFC
Campus is under the Campus Ministry/Chaplain.
2. We have the social action aspect in evangelization/work with the
poor (example GK, etc) that extends in our mission of building the
church of the poor.
3. We have 100% Free Advocacy that promotes living a true
Christian lifestyle among the youth.
4. We have different training tracks and formation tracks that enrich
the relationship of the young to Christ.
5. We have a widespread contact and network of YFC and CFC
Community around the world.
6. We have our creative talents pool that enables us to sustain our
creative evangelization to the youth.

OPPORTUNITIES IN
WORKING TOGETHER
1. The parish has a direct connection to the Bishop.
We can be tapped to be involved in diocesan activities. This
will also help us in our goal of getting a formal recognition in
all 85 dioceses /archdioceses.

2. The Parish can call on other youth organization in the


Parish
The parish can give us more opportunities to engage with
other organizations in the parish. It can help us link to other
organizations that can add up to our pool of resources which
can help us further our evangelization and mission.

3. The Archdiocese has direct contact with the different


parishes.
The archdiocese can endorse us to the different parishes
under it.

GUIDELINES for PARTNERSHIP


with PARISHES/CAMPUS
Ministry
1. Our goal is for every YFC Area (Campuses)
links with the campus ministry/chaplain.
2. For parish linkages, the Church liaisons are
Cluster Couple Coordinators and the Cluster
Youth Heads. For campuses, campus presidents
is our ministry liaison.
3. For Diocesan linkages, the MM Area Fulltime
Workers takes on the role of the Church Liaison
and for Philippine Missions, the Provincial
Couple Coordinator, Provincial Youth Heads and
the Provincial Fulltime Worker.

- Send all approved Recognition Letters from the
Diocese and Parishes

- Invite our Priest to the YFC ILC & the 2nd YFC Clergy
Congress in Baguio City

Establishing Parish Linkages

MONITORING AND
SUSTAINING OUR
PARTNERSHIP

CM CAMPUS LINKAGE
1) In the CM - campus level, monitoring will be done by the
Campus Moderator and the YFC Campus President during the
sector service meeting.
2) The initial basis of monitoring will be the identified indicators.
(Refer to step by step parish linkage guide)
3) If we have met all the indicators mentioned above, the sector
head will monitor the campuss campus ministry linkage on a
quarterly basis. The following are to be checked:
a. Attendance in the Regular Meeting of PYM/CM
b. Attendance of YFC Campus in the PYM/CM Activities
c. Check quarterly submission of Monthly YFC Activities to the
chaplain/campus ministry head.
d. Presence of chaplain in any of the YFC Activities
e. Other things that has been agreed upon during the
Expectation Setting with the Parish Youth Ministry/Campus
Ministry in-charge.

ARCHDIOSESAN/
DIOSCESAN LEVEL
1) Monitoring will be done by the Provincial Couple Coordinator and
Provincial Youth Heads/Provincial FTWs during the RCMs and Area
Heads FTWs during the MM meeting.
2) One of the initial bases of monitoring will be the identified indicators.

3) If we have met all the indicators mentioned above, the Provincial


Couple Coordinator/ FTW will monitor the Diocesan - Provincial YFC
Linkage on a quarterly basis. The following are to be checked:
a. Attendance in the Regular Meeting of DYM
b. Attendance of YFC in Diocesan Activities
c. Check quarterly Submission of monthly YFC Activities to the parish
priest.
d. Presence of Bishop/ Diocesan Youth in charge in any of the YFC
Activities.
e. Other things that has been agreed upon during the Expectation
Setting
with the Diocesan Youth Ministry in-charge.
