Archaeology
Rakhigarhi village in the Hisar district is home
to the largest and one of the oldest Indus
Valley Civilization sites and dated as over 5,000
years old.
According to archeologists, Rakhigarhi may be
the origin of Harappan civilisation, which took
place in the Ghaggar basin in Haryana and
gradually and slowly moved to the Indus valley.
